About Cynthia Joanne
I feel deeply connected to, and inspired by, the natural world. I am a wanderer- I have studied wild monkeys in Belize, taught scuba diving in Thailand and Bali, and have had many epic adventures around the globe. My travels have helped me realize that we are all connected, and have motivated me to stray from a conventional life to the one I'm currently living. I believe in shifting away from the consumerist, corporate society that has become pervasive, and instead working together, and with the planet, towards something better.
Yoga is my passion, and when I step on the mat I come home, wherever I may be. I teach yoga so that I can share its transformational effects with others. I believe that if everyone did a little yoga every day, a whole lot of the world's problems would vanish.
My best friends and greatest teachers have often been of the four-legged variety; I bond quickly and intensely with animals of all sorts. I feel it is our privilege to share this planet with them, and our responsibility to treat all beings with respect.
I am a free-spirit, an artist, a tree-hugger, a soul rebel, and a very, very lucky girl.
"Lokah Samasta Sukhinu Bhavantu" - May all beings be happy and free, and may my thoughts, words, and actions contribute to happiness and freedom for all.
